The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the Data team by leading the development of solutions to satisfy ad-hoc report and database change requests while reporting directly to the Vice President of Data Science. You will work closely with software engineers and business stakeholders to ensure we provide accurate data that meets the business needs. In this role, you will be working with large datasets, developing queries, building automated reports, and conducting complex analyses to support our customers as well as our business functions across departments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources using SQL and Python.
- Lead the team in developing and presenting solutions (e.g., data analyses, extracts, visualizations, etc.) to satisfy ad-hoc report data requests within Jira.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver quality data products.
- Identify potential product candidates among the ad-hoc report requests and submit Jira development requests to software engineering.
- Lead the team in developing SQL queries to fulfill database change requests within Jira.
- Automate repetitive data processing tasks where applicable.
- Maintain and enhance documentation for data processes, models, and queries in Confluence.
- Assist with data quality assurance, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data used for analysis.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and the latest trends in data analysis.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience in information technology or business analytics.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a data analyst or similar role.
SKILLS AND COMPETENTCIES:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases, data manipulation, and optimization.
- Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Knowledge of analysis techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
