Email Opening Title Cashier  About the Organization Our nugget history begins in the mid-1970’s, when the original owner, Lou Iandoli and his business partner opened Garden Poultry in the heart of Greenwich, CT. In 1978, grabbing hold of an opportunity to grow and expand, Mr. Landoli opened under the name of Garden Catering on Sound Beach Avenue; which is now known as our flagship location. Sadly, Mr. Iandoli passed away in 1989 and Garden Catering closed its doors. Responding to the heartache of nugget fans everywhere, Frank Carpenteri Sr. purchased the business from Mrs. Iandoli, along with the secret recipes for Garden Catering’s famous fried chicken and nuggets. He re-opened in late fall of 1991 and gained instant praise, making Garden Catering once again a staple for the community under its new owner. Recognizing the growing demand for the crave-able menu, Mr. Carpenteri opened several more Garden Catering locations throughout Fairfield and Westchester counties. As a Cashier, you’ll welcome guests as they enter, take their order and make sure they get exactly what they want. You’ll treat guests like family; taking care of their every need, sometimes before they ask for it. Multi-tasking with a smile is key! Clean as you go!  Be on time for your shift, in perfect uniform, and ready to WOW our Guests Interact with Guests in a friendly manner, do whatever it takes to make them happy! Learn one regular’s name each week!  Accurately input orders into computers, paying attention to special requests and modifications. Properly count and handle cash money, make change, and process credit card transactions in the POS system. Maintain accurate drawer counts within a $2 over/short variance.  Make sauces and keep Expo station fully stocked at all times Answer phones, take to-go & small catering orders, properly place someone on hold, direct calls or take detailed messages when necessary  Maintain clean and organized FOH stations, dining room, and restrooms.   Educate guests on our Online Ordering and  Loyalty Program and encourage new enrollments  Encourage guests to submit feedback through our Tattle/Ovation programs on every order Promote LTO items when available and upsell combos, sides, and additional items to increase average guest checks.  Participate in consistent feedback conversations about your performance Other duties or assignments not listed above but a Manager asks you to do.    Position Requirements We’ll more likely to pick you if: You are at least 18 years old You are a friendly person with a natural ability to engage others in conversation, even if you don’t know them. You are polite and kind and enjoy making others happy. You have pep in your step! Pace & Intensity is everything. You have to be able to move quickly and multi-task while executing accuracy and overall safety while working. You have a flexible schedule and don’t mind rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. You can handle food allergens and cleaning chemicals without issue. You can pick things up and put them down !May lift 20-40lbs consistently while twisting, reaching, and bending.
