Share Email Opening Title Sommelier  Description Join the Peak Team Peak is searching for a Sommelier to join our Team. Peak is a premium restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards; in a State-of-the-Art building with panoramic views and situated above Edge the highest outdoor observation deck in the city. A luxurious destination with breath-taking views of lower New York City. Peak is looking for a sommelier to oversee our wine menu and offer recommendations on the best pairings.  Our Sommeliers should demonstrate a friendly personality, strong knowledge of food and wine pairings, and good interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Creating and updating wine lists with the chefs and managers. Making recommendations on food and wine pairings. Ensuring that the wine cellar is fully stocked. Informing guests on the variety of wines available. Support training wait staff on available wines. Organizing wine tasting events with managers. Complying with health and safety regulations.     Position Requirements Requirements: Certification as a sommelier or a degree in hospitality is beneficial. Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role. Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types. Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
