Description

Through close collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Quality and Patient Experience is responsible for being the champion of good patient health outcomes and positive patient experiences. The Director supports health outcomes and positive patient engagement through oversight of the clinical support staff and in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer.

Responsible for Monitoring the quality of clinical services, tracking agency data in comparison with regional and national standards. Works with the clinical team and leadership to identify areas in need of quality improvement. Collaborates with the Data & Quality Team to ensure clinical staff training on the electronic health record and population health system. Oversees Patient Centered Medical Home applications, recertifications, and ongoing compliance with PCMH requirements. Coordinates Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects across the organization, ensuring cross-departmental engagement, staff and consumer training, and implementation of process improvements. Serves as a member of the Board Quality Assurance & Risk Management Committee and the organizational Quality Management Team. Collaborates with the Director of Integrated Supportive Services to ensure cross-departmental collaboration and service integration that promotes positive patient health outcomes and positive patient experiences.

Reviews, analyzes, and responds to patient feedback, including responding to patient complaints related to clinical services. Ensures documentation of patient concerns and complaints and proactively seeks patient feedback. Responsible for overseeing clinical team inventory and clinical purchases. Assists with the development of clinical team budgets and monitoring of budgets. Provides supervision for the Nurse Supervisor, Clinical Support Supervisor and Medical Assistant Supervisor. Responsible for coordinating training and development for the clinic team and ensuring continuing education opportunities for team members. Works with the Compliance Officer to ensure that clinical services are in compliance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements. Serves as the Privacy Officer and provides oversight of the HIPAA program. Serves on the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with the 340B program requirements and regulations.

 

 
Position Requirements
  • Ability to provide constructive criticism.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, problem solving, time management and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to assess and address complaints effectively.
  • Masters in Healthcare Administration or Public Health Preferred.
  • Experience in leadership and supervision required.
  • Experience in clinical quality preferred.
