General Statement of Duties:

  • Under the direction of the Human Resources Advisor, assist with the administration of a range of human resource programs.

Supervision Received:

  • Supervisor(s) as indicated in offer letter, reporting to the Human Resources Advisor and other management from time to time.

Supervision Exercised:

  • Not applicable.

Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following):

  • Responsible for HR portion of information within HRMS system, including updating and maintaining status;
  • Assist in HRMS process, queries, troubleshooting, documentation, and projects;
  • Prepare promotional/transfer/confirmation letters and send out respective communication announcements;
  • Receive, maintain and audit Employee Referral Bonus program and ensure timely payments for referees;
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and managers on HR related matters;
  • Create and maintain job descriptions; create and maintain HR Templates
  • Prepare reports, stats, forms, employment verification letters, etc.;
  • Assist with the updating of company policy and procedures with revisions when needed to ensure compliance with employment guidelines/laws;
  • Assist and participate in the delivery of team building events;
  • Provide administrative support to HR Advisor and HR Manager;
  • Assist recruitment in maintaining interview notes and resumes, conducting reference checks and new hire orientation and safety training;
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in one or more HRMS systems is considered an asset;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail and deadline driven;
  • Strong MS Office skills;
  • Ability to multitask;
  • Exceptional confidentiality and professionalism;
  • Customer service oriented.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required. Associates degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of advanced education.
  • 1 -2 years of experience in an HR Coordinator/Administrator role;
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset;
