SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Inventory Analyst manages the cycle count program within their respective plant location responsibility. The IA will ensure counts are done timely and accurately. The IA will perform root cause analysis in an effort to identify and resolve the drivers causing inventory record accuracy issues. This position will be responsible for identifying solutions and providing recommendations to correct the problems driving record accuracy. Additionally, this position will monitor, track and help drive improvements to the Inventory Quality Ratio (IQR).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Designs, implements, and improves inventory status.
    • Manages cycle count program. Ensures counts are done timely and accurately.
    • Performs root cause analysis. Works with all appropriate departments / personnel to identify drivers for IRA issues. Makes recommendations for solutions and assists with procedural changes to improve record accuracy. Audits & tracks for improvements.    
    • Produces inventory accuracy reports.
    • Assists in monitoring, tracking and driving improvements to the Inventory Quality Ratio (IQR). Works with all appropriate departments / personnel to identify drivers for IQR issues. Makes recommendations for solutions and assists with procedural changes to improve IQR. Audits and tracks for improvements. 
    • Posts reports in all appropriate locations.
    • Presents findings in regularly scheduled review meetings.              
    • Assists shift supervisors in correction of inventory errors.
    • Assists in plant physical inventory.

  • Strong computer skills: SAP and Microsoft Office (with emphasis in Excel & PowerPoint)

JOB REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education/Certification Requirements


  • Minimum High school diploma required. Associates degree with emphasis in Business or Finance preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
  • APICS knowledge preferred
