Job Description

General Statement of Duties

  • Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, the HR Administrator will assist the entire Human Resources Department with the administration of a range of human resource programs and services.

Supervision Received

  • Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources.

Performance Standards (Standards to include, but are not limited to, the following)

  • Assist with a range of generalist HR issues;
  • Assist in the preparation of US, and Canadian Rotator Visa packages;
  • Prepare and/or edit personnel documents including employee handbook preparation and edits as requested
  • Conducts HR research and handles policy inquires
  • Handles receiving, logging and filing all status changes
  • Responsible for tracking PTO request
  • Responsible for responding to employee HR related inquires and requests
  • Handles all unemployment hearing with the Workforce State Departments
  • Responsible for employment verifications upon requests
  • Assist with the maintenance and updating of job descriptions;
  • Assists with HRMS reports, audits and maintenance
  • Assists with performance management tracking & follow up
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing field employees;
  • Maintain statistics for voluntary and involuntary turnover by Division and Rig;
  • And other related HR duties

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail and deadline-driven;
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Commitment to the demonstration of Savanna’s core values.

Competency Level

  • Employee receives both functional and organizational training.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR preferred.
  • Understanding of HR Code of Ethics
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years HR Admin experience or relevant experience.
