Maintenance Manager - US

General Statement of Duties:

Maintenance Manager will work with the Master Data Administrator, Purchasing Department and Operations to ensure that maintenance standards and procedures conform to the regulatory requirements and that equipment are inspected and maintained to these standards. The role is also required to facilitate equipment maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting. 

Supervision Received:

  • Supervisor(s) as indicated in offer letter.

Summary of Duties: (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)

  • Track equipment out for repair
  • Forward plan scheduled maintenance and provide operations and purchasing with “heads up” on upcoming work
  • Create Maintenance Work orders and schedule staff (internal and contract)
  • Monitor Rig Activity and Respond to maintenance issues and schedule unplanned maintenance
  • Verify completion of service by Rig Crew, Mechanics and Technicians and outside contractors
  • Close work orders, update and maintain PM system
  • Communicate regularly with Ops, Purchasing and maintenance teams
  • Prepare/run management reports on Equipment Service History
  • Monitor upcoming maintenance, inventory and equipment out for repair
  • Plan purchasing requirements (parts & service)
  • Analyze service trends, exceptions, costs
  • Maintenance budget based on service history and forecasted PM
  • Generate Equipment age and usage report
  • Generate Equipment replace reports based on service history, age and usage

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent managerial and performance management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Strong communication, organizational and supervision skills 
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Application

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman mechanic certification
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in performing and/or managing preventative maintenance in Oil and Gas industry
