Description

Beyond Campus Innovations provides online education through strategic partnerships with institutions located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offering Masters Programs in specific career fields. BCI is seeking terminally degreed faculty in Healthcare Administration- Quality and Patient Safety, who are national leaders in their fields of study and who are specially trained to teach adult learners in an online platform, to teach for SEU. Previous experience teaching international students (notably Middle Eastern students) is desired. Please note that this is a 100% remote position.

Successful candidates will adhere to all BCI faculty expectations, including but not limited to:

  • Participating in the online classroom a minimum of five days per week, including one weekend day.
  • Conducting a minimum of seven live, 2-hour lectures per term using Blackboard Collaborate, on a specific schedule..
  • Grading and providing detailed feedback on all assignments (critical thinking assignments and discussion board) within 72 hours of assignment due date. This includes in-depth feedback specific to the critical thinking assignment rubrics.
  • Actively responding to student emails and requests within 24 hours.
 
Position Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Communicate effectively with students via Blackboard or similar Learning Management System (LMS), including through video updates.
  • Be a scholar-practitioner in the healthcare administration discipline. Preferred additional qualifications are: Experience with data analysis, survey development, and/or biostatistics, Experience with applied research, program evaluation, and health policy development/implementation.
  • International Healthcare System Design and Delivery (organization structure, managed care, etc.)
  • International Healthcare Administration (organizational behavior, human resources, law and ethics, finance, etc.)
  • International Operations Management (supply chain, Lean, Six Sigma, High Reliability, etc.)
  • International Information Systems (administrative, clinical, decision support)
  • International Population Health (assessment, implementation, evaluation, promotion, and prevention).
  • International Patient Safety and Quality (process improvement, quality management, risk management, etc)

 

Required Experience:

  • PhD in healthcare, nursing or other healthcare-related terminal degree required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years teaching online at the college/university level.
  • Teaching international students.
  • Developing and teaching healthcare administration courses for an online program.
  • Experience in international healthcare, including experience in the Middle East, is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • BCI/International program courses are 14 weeks in length, currently taught in two sessions per year.
  • Course appointments are awarded on a term-to-term basis.
  • Employment is considered part-time/temporary.
  • Compensation is competitive and is based on student enrollment.
