Share Email Opening Title Frontend Developer, Advertising   Description U.S. News & World Report is looking for an enthusiastic Software Developer with an interest in building dynamic, data-driven products to join the advertising technology team at one of the globe's most trusted brands. For 85 years, U.S. News & World Report has built a strong and profitable business by providing research and ratings that help individuals and families make important life decisions. The developers at U.S. News have a great deal of independence and a minimum of overhead. You'll get to experiment with interesting technology, use modern tools, and see your work enter production regularly. This position requires experience with front-end development and web standards as well as the ability to collaborate with coworkers across many different teams and disciplines. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic, engaged team to help support and innovate our advertising across all of our various products. This will involve utilizing common advertising tools like Google Ad Manager and PrebidJS, developing libraries and components that will be used by the rest of the U.S. News technology team, finding creative solutions to various advertising challenges, and otherwise helping to maximize revenue across all of our verticals. We have offices in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C and the Flatiron neighborhood of New York City.   Position Requirements Qualified candidates will have experience with some of the following: Modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS Modern JavaScript patterns and ES6 Unix-based operating systems, such as Linux or Mac OS X, along with the shells and command-line tools available in those environments Version control, such as Git Experience with advertising technologies like Google Ad Manager (especially GPT) and PrebidJS is a huge plus We are offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan.
