Job Summary:
This position is responsible for operating machines to manufacture parts needed for assembly of Feradyne products.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Must be able to meet daily quantity standards on production on various machines.
Perform Quality checks on the machine(s) you are assigned to.
Perform tool changes when needed.
Keep a clean workplace.
Wear appropriate PPE (Personal protection Equipment)
Because of changes that may occur in manufacturing processes and/or methods, and because of quality or productivity requirements, associate may be required to perform additional job duties.
Manufacturing plant; fast paced with production; clean and safe work area; heated and air-conditioned facility.
Educations and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalence.
Applicant must pass a 5-panel drug screen prior to hire.
Understand QC (Quality control) priorities.
Must be able to use measuring devices (Dial calipers, Pin gauges).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial or related background
Forklift certified (on the job training available)
Production background.
Competencies and Skills:
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Mechanically inclined.
Attention to detail, ability to identify and resolve issues and discrepancies. Solid logic and reasoning skills are essential.
Dependable and on time for scheduled shifts.
Cognitive Ability:
Basic Math (Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Reading comprehension and writing skills.
Communication skills.
Physical Demands:
Sit and stand for 8-12 hours while working
Utilize fine motor skills with repetitive movement of arms, wrists, hands and fingers
Wear safety glasses 8+ hours per shift
Must be able to life 50 to 75 lbs.
