Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the design and implementation of a new, scale up or relocation of a manufacturing process
  • Experience with QC/QA testing and manufacturing equipment
  • Demonstrated results in the use of Continuous Improvement tools to improve safety, quality, and financial performance
  • Proven fiscal responsibility (financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis, variance reporting, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills including experience with warehouse management systems, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to develop and implement training programs and operational procedures
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills including the ability to motivate a diverse workforce to Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems, as well as seek proactive solutions
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Description

Organizational Role - The Crossbow Division Manager will be responsible for overseeing the start-up of a whole new Division for the company. This will be a greenfield start-up and the manager will work in tandem with the Engineering department getting the new Division set up and moving forward. This person reports to the Operations Manager. The position plays a critical role in getting this new brand of products off the ground through the coordination of NPD for alpha production runs, thorough new products testing protocol and documentation supported by statistical data and accurate data. Once the department is up and running the Division Manager will be responsible for achieving all operational and key metric performance goals for the department. This position will play a key role in driving the growth and profitability of the new Crossbow Division and the company as a whole.

Crossbow Division Manager Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Set up and design for work-flow and production area, equipment set up and running
  • Working with supply chain in getting new suppliers up and running
  • Work closely with Engineering team getting new products and parts validated
  • Work with engineering to develop WI and quality assurance program for the department
  • Work with HR to get staffing to budgeted level when needed
  • Have department up and running to meet customer demand and service
  • Develop and implement a quality program with sustainment action items
  • Overall responsibilities for project management tool development and execution
  • Coordinate the production and or purchase of manufacturing jigs and fixtures
  • Equipment TPM program and sustainment activities
  • Develop manufacturing efficiencies dashboard and metrics for the department
  • Maintain a rigorous safety program and culture for the department
  • Maintain productive and effective working relationships with other departments and team members.
  • Meet or exceed departmental budgeted goals and objectives
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Creation of Daily Quote Tracking
  • Other duties as assigned
