Why This Role is an Important Part of Our Team

As a Kovach Senior Project Manager you will be leading the delivery team for some of our highest profile, highest risk projects.. We count on your strong business acumen, ability to manage the flow of a project’s schedule, mastery of project management best practices, and a keen focus on client relations to play a critical role in carrying on the reputation of excellence Kovach’s project management team has crafted over the past 50 years. So What Will You Be Doing?
In short, putting the 10+ years of your finely-honed project management skills to work. You’ll be working with a cross-functional team to ensure what was promised to your clients, both internal and external, is delivered on time and on budget. This will include partnering with design & drafting, procurement & accounting, transportation & logistics, and of course installation. Here are some of the other essential functions you’ll perform as a Senior Project Manager with Kovach:

  • Shepherding multiple projects at one time through their full life cycle.
  • Review of estimate, scope, and schedule prior to signing of the contract
  • Check all major PO’s for team members
  • Ensure CAC is updated accurately in a timely manner and updated monthly
  • Ensure billings and billing projections are updated accurately and updated monthly
  • Ensure PO and PO change orders are completed for all orders prior to release to vendor
  • Ensure submittals and RFI’s are accurately entered in Timberline
  • Review RCO’s in detail to ensure accuracy, project margin is being held, and confirm they are being entered into Timberline prior to submission to customer
  • Attend project meetings as required to support PM’s within your team
  • Serve as resource for project management related questions
  • Production evaluation / tracking

  • Expressing ideas, resolving conflict, and explaining technical information in a thoughtful, diplomatic manner.
  • Providing mentoring and support to developing Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Strong ability to view a project holistically, and to quickly discern issues before they become problems.

    Position Requirements

    A Few Requirements for this Position Include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in either Engineering or Construction Management
    • 10+ years of project management experience, specifically with metal facades or glass and glazing systems.
    • Demonstrated track record of problem-solving and resourcefulness.
    • Demonstrated success with maintaining and / or improving profitability of projects valued at $15M+.
    • Outstanding record of long-term, highly satisfied client relationships.
