Share Email Opening Title Finisher A  About the Organization Taylor Forge Engineered Systems, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of large steel fabricated products for the energy, chemical, and aerospace industries.   Description Job Summary: Perform blasting, painting, and cleaning operations on components and products. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Work in a safe and secure manner and comply with the safety rules and procedures. Review drawings and job requirements in order to pre-plan production. Select and Estimate the quantity of materials required from drawings, standards, and specifications. Setup and operate blasting and painting equipment in accordance with drawings, standards, and specifications. Ensure all personnel are safely located prior to commencement of blasting or painting operations. Ensure blasting and painting equipment is in good working condition prior to and after use. Report any malfunctions or abnormal conditions of equipment to Production Manager. Work with Quality Control to ensure hold points and specifications meet customer requirements. Keep protective gear in good working condition. Perform small repairs and preventative maintenance on blasting and painting equipment. Assist in placing and removing components and products to/from the blasting and painting areas. Operate forklifts, and other mobile equipment for the moving of material, components, and equipment from location to location within the plant. Occasionally operate overhead cranes. Perform general laborer duties as required (i.e. grinding, loading and unloading of trucks). Keep working area clean and perform housekeeping duties around the plant as required (i.e. pickup tools, roll-up hoses and cables, sweep). Ensure consumable inventory levels are maintained at levels to match production needs.   Position Requirements Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: Capable of reading and understanding Engineering drawings and documents. Capable of lifting 50 lbs. up to waist. 18 months minimum of job-related work experience Preferred.
