LPN Supervisor - Full Time

Seeking a Full Time LPN Supervisor for our busy Pediatric office in Washingtonville, NY. Schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm with rotating weekends, rotating holidays, and rotating late night coverage when needed. Pay rate will depend on experience.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Assists physicians with patient care and supervises nursing staff and medical assistants

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees, trains staff and ensures adequate office coverage
  • Triage phone calls answering basic questions and referring to physician when need arises
  • Obtains vital signs, height and weight
  • Administers injections and medications
  • Keeps medication inventory, call in prescriptions, prepare and stock exam rooms
  • Maintains medical records according to established policy and procedure, ensuring test results are incorporated in charts, prepares medical forms for physician signature
  • Assists physician during exams
  • Dresses wounds as directed by physician, sterilizes instruments
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality of patient’s records in accordance with BCHP policy and HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities accordingly. May be requested to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the office

  • Ability to adapt to new and unusual situations or changes without affecting performance
  • Performs job duties and work is accomplished within appropriate time standards determined by division
  • Regularly reports to work when scheduled. Reports back from meal break within allotted time frame
  • Maintains a professional appearance and neatness as outlined by BCHP guidelines
  • Understands and performs job duties and responsibilities
  • Provides patients and staff with assistance when situation arises
  • Actively participates as a team member by supporting decisions, accepting change, managing conflict effectively and valuing the contribution of others
  • As an employee of BCHP, the position requires professionalism through courteous, prompt patient, staff and vendor encounters ensuring the values of the organization and commitment to quality patient care

 
Position Requirements

Applicant must be computer literate and have excellent interpersonal skills. Current LPN license is required. A minimum of 1 year Pediatric experience is preferred.
