Share Email Opening Title Registered Nurse - Med/Surg  Description A Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing services and patient care in a variety of inpatient, outpatient & community settings. A RN follows established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation. A RN ensures adherence to hospital or department nurse procedures, standards and practices. Assesses patient needs initially and ongoing throughout the episode of care. Plans patient care based on nursing assessment, diagnosis, medical treatments and patient's and /or significant other's goals. Implements the plan of care to attain the patient's optimal level of wellness in a cost effective manner. Evaluates the care delivered and intervenes appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcome. Communicates patient information to ensure continuity of patient care with patient & healthcare team.Validates patient care provided and patient responses to care are reflected in documentation.Exhibits customer-focused behaviors which are consistent with the mission, vision & value statements and the patient's Bill of Rights.
