Since it's opening in 1999, the property has seen continual growth in both gaming and non-gaming assets. Job Description

 

Position:              Graphic Designer

Department:      Marketing

Reports to:          Marketing Manager

FLSA Status:       Non-Exempt

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two to four years’ experience in graphic design and/or art
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, design software on PC and MAC computers, art and file preparation, layout procedures and processes, type design and manipulation using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Understanding of screen printing, digital processes, and macro view of marketing
  • Well organized with excellent written and verbal communication and collaborative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven record of multi-tasking experience and ability; and effectively working with peers, team members, and regulatory agency personnel
  • Take clear, ad-ready photos, plan layout and design activities, exceptional writing and copywriting skills
  • Proven experience providing technical direction to others, and cost estimating graphic design projects and production

 

Essential Functions

  • Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel, and live the mission of providing exceptional service at all times
  • Maintain email and social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social sites
  • Plan and create a schedule of posts, ads, and content for social media sites and email campaigns
  • Respond or forward to relevant directors regarding comments, reviews and ratings for social media sites
  • Maintain reporting for social media sites and email campaigns and recommend changes for improvement
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Supply vendors and internal team members with art files when requested
  • Design art for digital and screen printed processes using four-color and/or spot-color files
  • Produce digital graphics and/or animations, and create layouts from existing designs
  • Maintain quality control of design elements and layout for fit, form and function
  • Communicate with print vendors to ensure accuracy of printed artwork or to solve production related issues
  • Aptitude to stay informed of current industry trends; learn and apply new concepts and demonstrate career self-reliance by seeking help and requesting learning opportunities, self-teaching and learning new and innovative techniques to improve job effectiveness; identify own areas of opportunity and set and monitor self-development goals
  • Able to assist and/or run photographic events from both a photographer a shoot management role
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Marketing Manager

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential job functions.

 

While performing job duties the team member is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

While performing job duties the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The team member may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or team members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate, and there are fluctuations in lighting due to flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.

 

The team member is expected to adhere to all casino policies, procedures and guidelines and applicable federal, state and local regulations.

 

At a minimum, the selected candidate will be required to pass a background check and drug-screening test, and obtain a gaming license.
