PURPOSE, OBJECTIVES, FUNCTIONS:

The Director of Corporate Brand and Communications will guide kaleo in defining the brand, ensuring consistent look and feel through all communication channels, and effectively telling kaleo’s unique story to all stakeholders. The Director is responsible for the development and execution of kaleo’s corporate marketing, communications, patient advocacy, public relations and reputation management activities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the strategic planning, development and execution of a robust marketing, public relations and communications strategy for kaléo and, cross-functionally, for our corporate brand.

  • Leads the 360 degree branding efforts for internal and external stakeholders of kaleo

  • Responsible for telling kaléo’s story and ensuring brand consistency through corporate communications properties, such as the website, social media channels and corporate promotional materials. Manages kaléo brand and ensures coordination with kaléo product marketing teams.

  • Protects and enhances the corporate reputation of kaléo and our brands.

  • Ensures marketing and communications strategies are integrated and aligned with corporate goals and internal cross-functional strategies and brands.

  • Incorporates new and innovative communications channels and approaches into communication strategy.

  • Collaborates with other functional areas to move communications pieces through review process, while maintaining style guidelines

  • Partners with external resources/agencies to align projects and resources to overall brand strategy

  • Works seamlessly with senior management across departments and project teams to provide media relations and communications counsel.

Position Requirements

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s degree in communications, advertising, or marketing ideal

  • Eight or more years of experience in brand strategy development and execution with other relevant experience in corporate storytelling, style guide creation, channel management

  • Strong project and agency management skills.

  • Experience in crisis management and a proven record of managing crises through effective communications channels.

  • Excellent competence in both spoken and written English.
