To manage the museum’s promotional marketing, including media relations, community relations, advertising activities, digital platforms, and select special events
Reports to the Deputy Director of Finance and Administration but works closely with the Director of the museum
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Uses independent judgment but works with many members of the senior staff to make final decisions on various issues
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (marketing, communications, English, journalism) required, Master’s degree a plus; strong organizational and communications skills; 5–10 years of experience in media negotiating and purchasing, budget maintenance and allocation, development of advertising and public relations campaigns; prior museum or nonprofit experience and community activation experience preferred.
