Administrator - CBRF / RCAC

Position Requirements

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Provides leadership to formulate operational strategies and achieve facility objectives within planned budgets and schedules. Provides direction to staff to execute tasks necessary to implement operational objectives
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills to successfully interact with residents/tenants, family members, legal representative and the public. Answers questions, resolves concerns and makes prompt efforts to resolve issues.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, honesty and integrity in the care and use of resident, tenant, staff and facility information and property.
  • Responds to change productively and implements changes as appropriate
  • Expresses self adequately in writing or verbally and communicates effectively with reidents/tenants, families, staff, representatives of community and government agencies.
  • Demonstrates respect for co-workers and responds to needs of residents/tenants by complying with facility policies on attendance and punctuality and dress code. Arrives and begins work on time and responds to facility needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through on-call availablity or delegation.
  • Identifies changes in residents/tenants conditions as evidenced by physical symptoms, verbal experssion, and/or mental psycho social status and follows appropriate procedures.
  • Performs personnel functions including interviewing prospective staff, conducting performance evaluations, and taking job actions as appropriate. Applies fair labor processes appropriately and is impartial.
  • Develops and implements CBRF and RCAC related quality assurance functions.
  • Works effectively and cooperatively as a team member with all staff.

Education, Experience and Training Requirements:

  • RN / LPN with minimum 3 years nursing experience providing direct care in a long-term care setting; or BS in Administration with equivalent experience
  • Nursing Home Administrator license; or completion of the DHS Code 83.15 CBRF Administrator course within 6 months of hire; or in-depth working knowledge of Wisconsin CBRF and RCAC regulations may be considered
  • Two years demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience including experience hiring and managing staff performance
  • Possess professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to make decisions in the event of emergencies
  • Must be English literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
