Description

LSA’s Irvine office is seeking a project hire in its GIS Department. This position is responsible for performing entry-level GIS activities using Esri's ArcGIS software suite. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, digitizing, scanning, and geo-referencing data, GPS data collection, creating spatial data using Geodatabases, performing data conversions, performing various administrative tasks, performing internet and journal literature searches, creating and publishing maps, assisting with the development and submission of proposals, and data coding and cleaning. This is a project hire position with the potential to lead to full-time employment.

 
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, or other related field. Candidate needs to have demonstrated GIS skills and knowledge, as well as the ability to prioritize and complete multiple complex tasks. Prior AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience is a plus. The candidate must have good organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
