Customer Service Representative- Government Contract, Work From Home

The Customer Service Representative for Government Contracts will be required to provide superior customer service in a contact/call center/help desk environment for a specific contract in support of a customer with high demands for privacy, confidentiality, precision, advanced technology and customer service skills. The Work From Home environment must be free of distraction and background noise, and must have access to high speed cable internet service. This position requires an individual with flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Job Responsibility:

  • Resolve customer’s inquiries and concerns in accordance with the client and company policies.
  • Provide customer support through email, text, chat, and phone calls.
  • Meet expectations for all balance scorecard metrics; demonstrates improvement over time.
  • Follow proper escalation procedures for unsolved customer requests.
  • Maintain productivity in accordance with support program and company standards.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous learning via research, formal and informal training opportunities.
  • Attend and participates in team meetings and required training sessions.
  • Provide mentoring to other CCRs as needed.
  • Follow all safety, ethics, human resources and security policies and procedures.


Job Responsibility:

  •  All representatives must live within 1 hour of local center.
  •  Telephone line without call hold must be in place.
  •  Although this is a work from home position, there are times where it may be required to work from local office. This would include monthly meetings, training or skills refresher training if performance metrics are not being met.

Position Requirements

Summary of Requirements:

  • Advanced technical skills and knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot technology, including network, computers, cameras, and internet based services
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service skills
  • Knowledge of windows operating systems and the internet.
  • Skilled at keyboard navigation, comfort with desktop technology, extracting data etc.
  • Aptitude and ability to master technical information
  • Ability to “translate” and communication clearly with customers to resolve problems of a technical nature.
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and work with multiple software applications.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
  • Provide teamwork and positive oriented attitude and flexibility.


  • Prior contact center experience required (multi-tasking in an Inbound Call Center Environment)
  • 1-2 years customer service experience
  • Previous Federal Government Contact Center experience is highly preferred.
  • Flexible and adaptable to business requirements (Shift and weekend work schedules)
  • Excellent listening /communication skills (both oral and written)
  • The candidate will be available to travel to the SaviLinx Hattiesburg office for occasional, but regular, training and supervisory meetings or in the event of need for specialized supervision.
  • The candidate must have high-speed Internet service at home, and be able to prove that such service is available and working by means of testing initiated by SaviLinx.
  • The candidate will work from home in a suitable home office which is free of distraction, external noise, visitors.
  • The candidate must be able to pass a Drug Screening (oral swab) at time of interview and an extensive background check.
  • The candidate must be eligible to obtain a government security clearance and cannot be delinquent on any Federal debt.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, college course work preferred.
