Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Western US and Latin America Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing territory sales and/or services within the Region. This role drives strategic initiatives for growth within the Region and is responsible for developing and motivating Territory Sales Representatives to achieve and exceed sales performance goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and executes a strategic plan for growth within the Region to exceed the sales plan for the territory.
  • Coordinates Sales Representatives for the Western US Territory - and Distributors for Latin America - by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Develops and motivates Territory Sales Representatives to achieve performance goals.
  • Analyzes sales data to formulate policy and assist the Regional Representatives in going to market.
  • Drives new revenue from new and existing accounts through proactive relationship building and utilizing the NPR process to generate revenue and displace competition.
  • Analyzes and controls sales budget for your territory to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Drives the sales process using the sales funnel and call reports.
  • Executes Sales Meetings and Technical Training in the territory.
  • Assists with new product development
  • Coordinates with Marketing to promote products in the territory through trade shows, advertising, press releases and email campaigns.
  • Creates sales reports monthly and quarterly for the territory and communicates results to the Director of Sales.
  • Handles key customers regarding quotes, relationships, new products, and forecasts.
  • Creates a sales forecast for the Territory to use for planning and management.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree or any combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years minimum experience successfully managing a sales team
  • Track record of superb Sales Performance Management
  • Experience in the sensor industry a plus, especially the accelerometer market
  • Demonstrated sales leadership skills with a Customer/Client Focus
  • Team focused, strategic with excellent business ethics
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train and motivate sales personnel – and face into conflict
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and sales presentation skills
  • Results driven, self-motivated
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be able to travel up to 75%
  • Must live in Western USA or willing to relocate
