Share Email Opening Title Digital Studio Technician  Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Description The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) is seeking a full time Digital Studio Technician to assist with the maintenance, upkeep and operations of PAFA’S digital labs and equipment. In addition to lab maintenance, the Digital Studio Technician will provide technical assistance to faculty, and instruction and oversight to students on the use of digital photographic and printing equipment and software. The Digital Studio Technician will be based in our new fine arts library and will also have duties assisting with the circulation desk. This is a full-time position with benefits, and will require approximately 30 hours per week. Applicants should be comfortable with a flexible schedule that will include evening and weekend hours.   Position Requirements Applicants if chosen will be expected to help train and assist students in printing using large-format printers as well as assisting them in the use of various DSLRs, strobe lighting equipment. Will be leading demo sessions about various photographic lighting and printing equipment. The Digital Studio Technician is responsible for managing equipment check out for both in lab-use and off-site special requests and the monitoring of appropriate inventory of departmental supplies including papers and ink. Qualified applicants should have a B.A, B.S or B.F.A degree. A minimum of two years experience in professional or college supply room preferred.
