Job Title: Computer Forensic & Intrusion Analyst II
Work Location: Raleigh or Washington, DC
Clearance: Must be CLEARABLE (US CITIZEN FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS)
Preferred Certifications: (One or more desired)
- CompTIA Net+
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Security + GCIH - (GIAC Certified Incident Handler) or ECIH - (EC-Council Certified Incident Handler)
Required Education:
- Bachelor degree in an information technology discipline or equivalent IT experience required.
Perform in-depth forensics examinations of computers and other electronic devices. The investigator will use a variety of digital forensics tools to conduct forensic examination activities including assisting in the analysis of network, computer and other devices which may contain digital evidence.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
5+ years of software testing experience with a history of performing full time, hands on, web application penetration testing in a variety of diverse environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Uses current hashing algorithms to validate forensic images; diagrams networks and images servers to support digital forensics operations
- Utilizes a variety of industry standard tools and techniques to collect a system's current state data and catalog, document, extract, collect, and preserve information
- Uses dynamic analysis to identify network intrusions and network monitoring tools to capture real-time traffic spawned by any running malicious code; identifies internet activity that is triggered by malware; identifies network/host-based characteristics and assists in drafting recommendations to mitigate malware effects
