ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities - Collaborate with the CEO and COO to develop communications strategies that will broaden programmatic reach and deepen impact
- Ensure Family Endeavors “core” messages are communicated consistently
- Identify significant media and public policy issues that can be leveraged to support Family Endeavors’ work, and create and implement plans to exploit them
- Oversee organizational response to inquiries about Family Endeavors
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual communications plan across the network's audiences in collaboration with the Family Endeavors team and constituents
- Manage creative team in the production and creation of outward facing content including but not limited to:
- The generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action. Decide who, where, and when to disseminate
- Puts communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities
- Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, and Family Endeavors’ website
- Mentor and lead a team member responsible for Family Endeavors' website administration and coordination
- Ensure webpage maintenance—ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly
- Manage development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, annual report, e-newsletters, and Family Endeavors’ website
- Track and measure the level of engagement within network of constituents over time
- Manage all media contacts
- Develop relationships with key constituents across all marketing FE serves
- Oversee activities and events that create organization awareness
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: - Leadership: Experience in planning, leading, and managing creative communication projects and working in ways that haven’t been tried before. Ability to participate on a leadership team to advance the organization’s broader goals and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to execute as needed. Experience coordinating with peers across functional teams to achieve desired outcomes. Ability to work independently to organize and prioritize multiple projects.
- Communications: Proven success at leading strategic internal and external communications efforts through the development of communications plans, message development, media efforts (including new and social media), public relations, marketing, and targeted distribution strategies. Skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications. Ability to convey complex ideas through brief, reader-friendly materials. Experience identifying and crafting stories that engage and compel an audience. Superior writing and proofreading/editing skills are critical. Knowledge of video production.
- Tools and Resource Development: Expertise overseeing the production of multimedia resources to ensure relevance to target audiences.
- Events: Experience designing and executing events with a focus on culture, creativity, and experiential learning.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field and/or relevant job experience is required, an advanced degree is preferred EXPERIENCE: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management role including experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other print publications and directories
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program to advance an organization's mission and goals
- Creative and thoughtful on how new media technologies can be utilized
- Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
- Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications specialists
- Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Proven, measurable, and successful experience into the largest US Federal and Civilian Agencies. Established network of government contacts at Federal agencies. Understanding of the FARs, government contracting process, and contract vehicles (GSA, GWACs, BPAs, etc.). Proven, measurable, and successful experience in growing revenue within an existing account. Ability to develop and manage a high volume of opportunities. Must be motivated, dedicated and a self-starter and requires minimum supervision. Strong analytical, negotiation and creative problem solving skills. Must have a verifiable history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Verifiable track record of winning work at both the task order and contract level. Strong employment tenure in Business Development positions. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. High-level analytical and problem-solving skills and strategic-thinking capacity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
