Description

Department: Communications and Public Affairs
Supervisor: Director of Communications and Public Affairs

Objectives of the Position:

  1. Responsible for the organization and execution of internal and external marketing communication projects in support of Family Endeavors' Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics in San Antonio, El Paso and Killeen

  2. Provides support for the Communications and Public Affairs Department.

  3. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with vendors and internal clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with department and internal clients regarding corporate communications and marketing projects

  2. Coordinate marketing communication projects:

    • internal/external communication campaigns

    • act as main department contact to support outreach events, conferences, company functions, and other internal requests

  3. Gather, organize and fulfill internal requests for graphic design to support outreach events, proposals and collateral materials that align with the marketing and branding strategy and guidelines.

  4. Support internal stakeholders in ordering and fulfilling collateral, outreach and office branding requests.

  5. Support planning and execution of internal and external.

  6. Create, maintain and execute social media calendar.

  7. Gather and organize content for monthly internal and external e-newsletters.

  8. Maintain current content on Clinic pages of familyendeavors.org company website using Wordpress CMS.

  9. Produce and maintain monthly reports as requested by supervisor to include:

    • Social media analytics

    • Website analytics

    • Media placement and value reports

  10. Track department invoices and approvals

  11. Photograph internal and external events

 
Position Requirements

Educational and Experience Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications required
  2. 1-2 years experience in marketing communications preferred

Competencies Required For Effective Performance:

  1. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite of applications to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  2. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

  3. Experience using Prezi presentation software.

  4. Experience using Wordpress to maintain website content.

  5. Experience managing social media accounts for an organization or group.

  6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  7. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  8. Ability to prioritize multiple projects with multiple deadlines.

  9. Demonstrates professionalism.

  10. Excellent communication and social skills.

  11. Strong writing and marketing storytelling capability.

  12. Ability to plan and work independently and in coordination with internal and external resources.

  13. Well-developed organizational/multitasking skills.

  14. Attention to detail with analytical skills.

  15. Team player with a positive attitude.

Travel: This position will require travel to El Paso and Killeen, Texas.
