Position Cyber Security College Intern  
Description

We are seeking an advanced level Intern with experience in Cyber Security.  Assist with evaluating, designing, monitoring,  administering and/or implementing cyber security policies and processes.  Provides input on research, analysis and troubleshooting of various security issues.  Work under direct supervision and performs routine work assignments to support other team members. design, software design, troubleshooting. This knowledge is essential for all applicants. Experience gained through prior job knowledge and through personal application. This opportunity will be in a learning oriented environment. This is a part-time opportunity working 20hrs a week with the potential for full-time employment upon graduation.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with analysis of information technology security trends and provides input on root cause analysis.
  • Acquires foundational knowledge of the business, products and processes
  • Gathers information to support business analysis and work product completion
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Support Team initiatives
  • Support IT/Help Desk by troubleshooting (connectivity, company devices, etc)
  • Vulnerability Assessment Tool (once tool requirements are captured then procured)
  • Privileged Access Management & Monitoring
  • Capturing Metrics on Capacity Management on all IT Managed Services Assets (according to Asset List)
  • Performing Monthly Auditing on IT Assets according to IT Managed Services Activities Schedule reporting to Senior Manager
  • Research Trend Analysis for Problem Management Reporting
  • Research Solutions for IT Services and Provisioning with Senior Manager on New Business Proposals
  • Capture Backup Metrics, Event Viewing Evidence for Monthly Reporting
  • Gather Monthly Reporting materials, audit findings: (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual) Internal Audit schedule.
  • Coordinate with SA/NE all compiled IT Remedy tickets for monthly reporting
  • Meet biweekly with Senior Manager Research on all Audits findings, IT Performance, New Requirements, Metrics, New Solutions, Trend Analysis, and new CR's.
  • Familiarize self with ISO 20K/27K and CMMI Level 2 Requirements and documentation.
  •  Work w/ Senior Manager & SA/NE on documentation revisions, updates, new requirements for compliance with ISO 20K/27K certification along with upcoming pursuance of CMMI Level 2 certification requirements.

Major:

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology or related degree field.
