Summary:

Yorktown Systems Group is seeking highly qualified Opposing Forces (OPFOR) Analyst to provide professional services and support to the TRADOC Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2) Operational Environment (OE) and Core Functions. The Operational Environment (OE) is a composite of the conditions, circumstances, and influences that affect the employment of military forces and bear on the decisions of the unit commander. As an organic, complex system, the OE provides the common framework in which warfighting programs and strategies are conceived, defined, and executed. It is a living foundation in which choices made, by adversary and allies alike, affect the outcome of the future which must be accounted for. As adversary's asymmetrical approach to warfare continues to generate greater complexity and flexibility, the government's requirement for similar complexity and adaptability in Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) escalates correspondingly.

TRADOC Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2)'s mission is to understand, visualize, describe, deliver & assess the OE in order to reduce risk and prevent surprise; today and into the future 2035+. TRADOC G-2 is the designated Lead for Core Function #13 Operational Environment; the process of developing, verifying, validating, accrediting, and providing OE products and services represents an authoritative, validated OE contextual baseline for TRADOC users and operational forces in the areas of training and training development; education; leader development; concept and doctrine development; and capabilities development, integration, and evaluation.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Support TRADOC G2's OPFOR Program Management Directorate and its two divisions: OPFOR Accreditation Division and OPFOR Modernization Division.
  • Maintain, update, and staff AR 350-2 (Opposing Forces Program).
  • Assist in the revision of AR 350-50 (Combat Training Center Program).
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and update of the Army OE Master Plan (OEMP) annually.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and representation for TRADOC G-2 at the Training Support Working Group (TSWG), CTC Council of Colonels, and the Operations Council of Colonels.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute annual OPFOR conferences and forums to evaluate current and future OE and OPFOR lessons learned, review requirements for training environments, promote critical analysis, provide leader education and feedback, and promulgate appropriate OE and OPFOR doctrine.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have 8 years' experience performing and/or supporting relevant and similar support as outlined above. Relevant and similar support tasks may include:
    • Maintain, update, and staff AR 350-2 (Opposing Forces Program).
    • Assist in the revision of AR 350-50 (Combat Training Center Program).
    • Assist in the development, maintenance, and update of the Army OE Master Plan (OEMP) annually.
    • Provide subject matter expertise and representation at the Training Support Working Group (TSWG), CTC Council of Colonels, and the Operations Council of Colonels.
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute annual OPFOR conferences and forums to evaluate current and future OE and OPFOR lessons learned, review requirements for training environments, promote critical analysis, provide leader education and feedback, and promulgate appropriate OE and OPFOR doctrine.
  • Previous OPFOR support to a Combat Training Center (CTC) such as the National Training Center (NTC), Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC); or with the Mission Command Training Program (MTCP).
  • Former Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, Chief Warrant Officer, or Officer (O-3 and above) with CTC OPFOR experience is highly desired.

Clearance: Top-Secret with SCI eligibility clearance is required.

Location: Fort Eustis, VA

Travel: Approximately 20% travel is required
