Investor Reporting Coordinator

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reporting and remitting on the company’s mortgage loan servicing portfolio to the investors, reconciling General Ledger and Custodial accounts with medium to high risk/exposure to the Company (GNMA, FNMA or FHLMC)
  • Review of investor remittance for accuracy and timeliness to avoid penalties
  • Work closely with Investor Reporting Supervisor and default group to ensure processes align with investor guidelines and loan mitigation activity is accurately reported
  • Work with Investor Reporting Supervisor and Secondary Marketing and investors to ensure proper set-up, sales, and release of loans to new customer on a timely basis
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with Government-Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) and Investor reps, to ensure all issues and concerns are resolved in a timely manner
  • Assist Investor Reporting Supervisor with reconciling aged items, ensuring they are appropriately and accurately stated in accordance to GAAP and Investor Guidelines and are researched and resolved in a timely manner, minimizing charge offs
  • Work closely with the Investor Reporting Supervisor and Account Reconciliation Department to ensure all DDA accounts remain aligned with investor requirements
  • Assist the Investor Reporting Supervisor in reviewing and responding to all audit exam requests (internal, external, investor, regulatory and state)
  • Review payment applications for compliance with investor and company guidelines
  • Expedite accurate and timely reporting and remittances for all investors
  • Assist the Investor Reporting Supervisor with audit departments’ request for wire transfers to investors, ensuring adequate documentation, error free computations and accurate source and receiver information
  • Oversee REG AB and USAP reporting and compliance
  • Work with the Investor Reporting Supervisor to perform assessment and reviews on new reporting formats and/or proposed changes to reporting requirements
  • Interact with other departmental personnel to ensure new servicing/reporting requirements are in place and functioning as expected
  • Assist the Investor Reporting Supervisor to maintain policies and procedures, in accordance with company and investor guidelines
 
Position Requirements

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 2-3 years related experience and/or training in an Investor Reporting mortgage servicing environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or government regulations
  • Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and borrowers
  • An understanding of the MSP Investor Reporting work station
  • Capacity to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Thorough knowledge of investor and agency guidelines with regard to investor reporting and accounting, payment application and custodial accounts
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Minimum of 2 years reporting and reconcilement experience
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, and USDA loan guidelines
  • Knowledge of Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac servicing guidelines
  • Advance knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Working knowledge of Excel formulas and functionality
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University or equivalent combination of education and experience
