We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science and related programs for an internship during the summer of 2017. This summer internship opportunity is in MedImmune, Department of Respiratory, Inflammation and Autoimmunity. Core Responsibilities: The Department of Respiratory, Inflammation and Autoimmunity is seeking an intern, with an interest in accelerating the development of new medicines, strong skills with genomic data analysis, and familiarity with R coding and Unix/Linux operating systems. · Analyzing genomic (such as microarray and next generation sequencing (NGS)) and proteomic data to facilitate new drug target discovery · Developing user-friendly and interactive visualization tool to provide biological insights from NGS data · Implementing data mining models to existing data to bring up and validate hypothesis. · Direct interaction with scientists to generate ideas and test hypotheses. |
