Coordinate the identification and development of Community Job placement sites for individuals participating in the employment and pre-employment program operated by Pathfinder.


  1. Research different potential placement options through a variety of sources.
  2. Identify employees interested in providing employment opportunities and inform them of the characteristics of the different employment programs including the employees' role and Pathfinder responsibilities for the process.
  3. Participate in job fairs, organizations involved in promoting employment opportunities and state agencies involved in providing employment opportunities.
  4. Participate in DDS/ARS webinars, conferences, etc. related to job development.
  5. Coordinate with other Pathfinder Staff in securing information about consumers' interests and abilities for employment opportunities through the assessments, and the discovery process.
  6. Assist in securing information from job placement sites and potential sites regarding the nature of job opportunities available. Discuss possible specialized employment options such as job share, customized jobs, etc.
  7. Share data with Pathfinder Employment staff regarding the general characteristics of job opportunities to assist with job matches.
  8. Assist with internal procedures to match consumers' discovery and assessment data with opportunities for employment.
  9. Coordinate the development of volunteer service opportunities for consumers that will assist in the acquisition of employment skills.
  10. Assist in the ongoing development, planning and implementation of strategies to provide employment opportunities to consumers.
  11. Provide monitoring of job placement sites. Act as liaison between community placement sites and Pathfinder.
  12. Provide public relations functions to introduce employment programs to individuals, families, schools, civic organizations, etc.
  13. Assist in the development of curriculum, policies and procedures related to the implementation of the Pathfinder employment program.
  14. Participate in State Agency meetings related to the implementation and enhancement of employment options.
  15. Assist in securing the participation of selected school districts in pre-employment services and transition programs.
  16. Perform other duties as requested or required.
Position Requirements

Bachelors degree in a human services area, two years experience in providing services to adults with a developmental disability. Additional years of experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Must become certified as a Job Coach upon employment, per the requirements of the State of Arkansas.

Current driver's license; current auto liability insurance coverage and registration; physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
