The Corporate Sales Representative is responsible for specific sales functions in an assigned territory. They will provide integrated technology solutions to support the Unified Communications and Collaboration business environment. They will prospect, qualify, provide consultation on design proposals and secure orders from potential and existing customers. They will represent Tierney Brothers, Inc. in a professional manner, understanding Tierney Brothers operations and their daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities for the efficient operation of the business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the overall sales cycle from prospect to proposal to close to execution.
Manage overall account management with regular client contact for new business.
Understand and present Tierney Brothers’ capabilities, products, services, and overall value proposition to new and existing clients.
Identify new opportunities and present high value solutions featuring products and services within Tierney’s core competencies.
Schedule and perform client demonstrations at the Tierney Technology Center or client site. Lead client meetings in design consultation, design review and project negotiation.
Effectively handle customer’s requests for pricing, specifications, information and other services. Provide consultation for customized, future-focused design proposals to meet the UC&C needs of the client.
Return customer phone calls, web and, manufacturer leads in an appropriate timeframe as defined by sales management.
Present in person and explain proposals over $20,000.
10% - Internal Design Collaboration:
Prepare and lead meetings to engage internal design team: consultation and proposal development, quote finalization, pre-order and kick-off meetings.
Work with Pre and Post PO Systems Integration teams to develop solutions to a variety of problems around design and execution.
Work closely with the Systems Integration team to strategize on, and ensure timely responses to, bids & RFPs.
Work collaboratively with all Tierney teams to ensure all projects result in successful implementation and customer referral.
10% - Sales Administration:
Work directly with sales coordinators to provide customized quotes to clients.
Approve/Review pricing prior to final quote and order placement.
Update CRM sales opportunity tracking on a weekly basis, enter activity and communications with clients on a daily basis.
Track and report expenses to Accounting on a monthly basis.
10% - Develop/Maintain Industry Expertise:
Participate in the Tierney Brothers vendor meetings and training programs.
Obtain and stay current with CTS and other manufacturer certifications.
Stay current on AV industry growth and UC&C implementation in the workplace.
Join industry groups and associations to support business development in vertical market segment and attend industry specific trade shows.
