Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

 

As part of this Team, you will be responsible for working with customers at various stages of delinquency to arrange for payment alternatives to resolve past due situations, offer additional assistance as needed, and arrange for payment solutions to cure the loan. Handle various inbound calls from customers and transfer to internal departments.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Describe the essential functions of this position in order of importance.

  • Initiate contact with Mortgage customers handling all stages of delinquency.
  • Establish reason for default by having an in depth conversation with the mortgager.
  • Present alternatives solutions to the Customer (Repayment Plans, Short Sales, Deed in Lieu of foreclosure).
  • Negotiating payment resolution.
  • Perform skip tracing.
  • Utilize internal collections systems.
  • Utilize a preview dialer system.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Management.
 
Position Requirements

1. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Banking/Customer Service experience a plus.
  • Must be able to work posted hours.
  • Team player.
  • High School diploma or equivalent in work experience.
  • Typing or keyboard proficient. Solid PC skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally.

 

2.  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT / SKILLS:

 

  • Previous experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to provide direction/coaching for new employees.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Detail and goal oriented.
  • Bilingual a plus.
