Job Classification:  Assistant / Associate or Part time Manager

JOB PURPOSE:     Contributes to the Successful Operation of a Hoss’s Restaurant
                                  By directing shifts to deliver The Hoss Way and guarantee guest satisfaction


1. Directs Successful Shifts

By requiring execution of The Hoss Way procedures and delivery of Hoss’pitality at all times.

2. Develops Restaurant Staff

By training and motivating crew members evaluating their performance as needed.

3. Contributes to Restaurant Financial Results

By controlling waste and optimizing productivity in the course of daily business.

4. Meets Administrative Requirements

By accurately completing accounting and reporting functions as assigned by the general

5. Meets Hoss’s Standards of Property Management

By driving effective cleaning and maintenance programs.

6. Maintains Technical and Professional Knowledge

By ongoing exposure to new information and resources and fulfilling continual educational requirements.

7. Demonstrates Community Support

By active involvement in local organizations which foster community growth and improvement.

8. Improves the Hoss Organization and Concept

By actively participating in all available feedback and information gathering processes.

Position Requirements


Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management




Previous Restaurant experience
Previous Management experience





• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, good listening and speaking skills
• Must have excellent employee-relation skills
• Must have excellent organizational, leadership, and management skills
• Must have the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
• Must have the ability to analyze problems and make decisions
• Must have the ability to acquire, evaluate, and analyze data, organize and
  maintain files
• Tasting – ability of tongue taste buds to distinguish between and among flavors, spices, temperature and mouth feel of food and beverages
• May be required to perform various food service jobs in the course of the training and evaluation process
• Must have the ability to operate office machinery including computers, printers, etc.
• Must be able to make decisions under stressful situations
• Must be Food Service Sanitation Certified
• Must be CPR Certified


Physical Demands

• Must be able to work in a loud, fast-paced, and hectic environment
• Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend and stoop
• Very infrequent driving may be required


• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Subject to wet floor, temperature extremes, and noise

• Must maintain high level of integrity in all areas of the job description

Scope of Financial Responsibility

• Must be fiscally responsible for budgeted expenses
