Location: 2001 S. Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90007           
Supervisor’s Title: Accounting Manager  
Hours per Week: 15 hours, afternoons                                   

World Impact, a Christian inner-city missions organization with ministries across the United States, is searching for a bright, energetic person to join the National Staff in Los Angeles, California, as an Administrative Assistant.

Overall responsibility – Carry out day-to-day administrative responsibilities for World Impact’s Accounting and HR departments. 

General Responsibilities

1. Human Resources

a. Assists with benefits enrollments, terminations, and changes
b. Assists with benefits billing audits
c. Process background checks
d. Process missionary introduction and exit letters
e. Track support-raising pledges for accepted staff candidates

2. Accounting

a. Assists in processing miscellaneous cash batches
b. Assists in processing accounts payable batches
c. Assists in processing donation batches

3. Office

a. Organizes and files
b. Takes the mail to the Post Office at the end of the day

1. Organization requirements –

c. Applies the Word of God in exercising wisdom, discernment and counsel
d. Models a Christian lifestyle
e. Has a heartfelt burden for the urban poor
f. Represents World Impact and its vision with clarity and enthusiasm

2. Position requirements –

a. Administratively efficient and self-initiating
b. Excellent proofreading skills
c. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
d. Accounting experience preferred
e. Have reliable transportation, a valid license, and insurance
