KANSAS CITY, KS
Directs, oversees and coordinates all activities of the chemical facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Ensures the safety of all team members by using best practices, training, communicating and improving processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall safety, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the construction chemicals operating facility.
Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
Directs and coordinates activities of the construction chemicals manufacturing operations for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.
Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine the progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Coordinates production, distribution and warehousing in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Company.
Develops, implements and administrates plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.
Develops and administrates all budgets for the facilities.
Manages supervisors who supervise a total in excess of 100 employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Other duties may be assigned.

Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior knowledge with construction chemicals or related experience highly desirable.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Must have excellent PC skills to include Word, Power Point and Excel software.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk.
Maximum unassisted lift 35 lbs, average lift less than 10 lbs.
Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor and calculator.
Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.
