Nuvotronics is a leading innovator in radio frequency (RF) hardware and defense technology, and the creator of Polystrata  technology, the premier emerging architecture for next generation wideband 3D microwave and mm-wave circuits.  Its air-dielectric micro-scale AirCoax transmission lines cross the chasm between the traditional technologies and the low loss and high performance from DC to daylight enables next generation solutions for radar, communications and sensors.

  • Work in tandem with HW design engineers and program managers to ensure that test coverage and testability issues are addressed as part of the design process.
  • Plan, develop and document the overall test strategy for prototype through production test efforts. This includes, but is not limited to In-Process Testing (IPT), Design Verification Testing (DVT), Qualification Testing, Acceptance Testing (ATP), etc.
  • Conduct test strategy reviews to internal and customer stakeholders in conjunction with program milestone reviews (i.e. PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).
  • Be responsible for test system development including requirements definition, design & verification using schematic capture tools, LabView, etc.
  • Perform hands-on testing on our components and assemblies, analyze test data, isolate test failures, devise test failure recovery plans and present test findings to program stakeholders.
  • Guide test technicians in the execution of test efforts.
  • Lead/support strategic development initiatives to advance our test capabilities.
  • Support business pursuits and proposal generation.
 
Position Requirements

Educational and Experience:

  • A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Significant experience (at least 5 years) in hands-on microwave or millimeter wave testing (S-Band through W-Band). This includes, but is not limited to advanced S-Parameter, high power, noise figure and load pull measurements on multi-function, microelectronic assemblies.
  • Experience in high reliability and harsh environment electronics as well as familiarity with military test standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Demonstrated expertise developing automated test solutions incorporating RF/mixed-signal test and measurement equipment.
  • Solid command of LabView and Matlab. Experience using HFSS, CST, Microwave Office and Solidworks is highly desired.
  • Good understanding of antenna theory (including electronically steered antennas) as well as the associated performance test techniques/methodologies.
  • Strong track record of independently analyzing test data and assessing compliance with performance requirements. This includes effective troubleshooting skills to isolate test failures/anomalies and to develop recovery action plans.
  • Good communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively to internal and customer stakeholders.
  • Must be eligible for government security clearance
