Global Director of Environmental, Health and Safety 



Responsible for approximately twenty-nine (29) coating facilities located worldwide.  Key focus areas include ongoing enhancement of the Safety and Environmental Management Systems, EHS goal development and tracking, assistance with all area of risk management and loss prevention.  Responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental permitting, licensing, and reporting requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight and Assistance – Provides Corporate EHS oversight and direction across all regions, all plants, and all personnel.

Corporate EHS Program Development - Provides technical and management assistance for developing and maintaining effective safely and health programs at the plant level; functions as technical resource for all company environmental, safety and health issues.

Risk Management/Loss Prevention – Monitors, summarizes and assists with Property Loss Control inspections, work comp activities, EHS due diligence, etc.

Corporate EHS Liaison – Serves as a liaison to the Executive Management Team on all EHS related issues.  Role is also responsible for communicating EHS progress, risk areas and required management of change (MOC) across the Corporation. 

EHS Verification & Customer Interface Participates in EHS auditing including: internal audits, external audits (i.e. ISO 14001, Customer EHS audits, OHSAS 18001, etc.). Also responsible for working with key strategic customers in a way that utilizes responsible EHS management as a leveraging tool to improve future relationships.


Supervisory Responsibilities:                                           

Directly supervises Regional EHS Manager, Environmental Compliance Specialist, and Corporate Administrative Safety Coordinator.

Education and/or Experience:                                  

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Human Behavior or related field; and seven (7) years related experience and/or training required; Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) is preferred
