Details Position requires flexibility within hours of operation, some attendance at community events outside of banking hours.  
Preferred Qualifications One year of experience in Agricultural Lending; Banking School requirement on this job posting is preferred, not required.  

SUMMARY:  Under the general guidelines of the Local Board of Directors and the Local Bank President, the Community Bank President is accountable for directing the bank's management team. In concert with the local Bank President, other senior officers and with Local Board concurrence, the incumbent formulates a hierarchy of objectives, standards of performance, strategies, plans, and budgets. The incumbent is accountable for leading the branch and the team of associates in a manner that will result in positive growth in equity, profits, deposits, return on assets, return on all investments, quality and scope of financial services, enhancement of human resources, and community image.

The incumbent and other senior officers are accountable to the Local Board of Directors for planning, direction, coordinating, and controlling bank activities within the scope of basic policies established and within the authority delegated by the Local Board, and in so doing, is accountable for maintaining the direction and momentum of the bank toward the objectives, standards, and plan adopted. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: The following functions are supervised and/or performed by the associate.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Lead in setting goals for branch(s) and associates
  2. Lead Local Bank Marketing effort
  3. Reviews all measurement criteria on regular basis
  4. Assists each associate to achieve training, sales, and referral goals
  5. Effective Coaching and Supervision of subordinates
  6. Achieve personal sales results and make customer calls to solicit new business
  7. Be involved in community events and build relationships with area organizations
  8. Demonstrate enthusiasm for taking care of all customers
  9. Model aggressive friendliness by greeting customers quickly, cordially, calling them by name and making them feel welcome and comfortable
  10. Treat all customers with Respect, Sincerity, and Appreciation
  11. Help to resolve customer complaints and maintain superior customer service ratings
  12. Produce positive asset growth to meet annual goals
  13. Oversee an effective annual Strategic Plan Formation, Goals and Objective Setting, and Budgeting Process in the local bank
  14. Supervise Building, Planning, and Construction needs.  Also be able to negotiate all major contracts for the bank
  15. Make sure all branch(s) Performance Evaluations are completed on time
  16. Provide all required information timely to Local Board of Directors and conduct an effective monthly board meeting

  3. Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
  4. Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.
  5. Foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.
  6. Maintain involvement in community affairs to foster and promote the proper bank image at all times. 
Position Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years previous bank experience in lending, investments, management, bank operations, personnel and marketing required
  • Completion of Banking School; required
  • College degree; preferred.
