Description

SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Mortgage Servicing Document Release Supervisor, the incumbent performs various functions in a manner that permits the release of documents for loans that are paid in full.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Request original documents on paid in full loans from investors.
  2. Pull loan files on paid in full accounts; sort them by investor and/or state so that they can be released to other staff.
  3. Notate recording information on servicing systems once release document has been returned by recorder’s office.  Create letter and mail release to customer.
  4. Create list of all loans that releases have been completed upon; box the loans, and ensure that they are put in appropriate storage area.
  5. As loan files arrive on acquisitions, assist with putting loan file into file cabinets in loan number order, including verification of receipt of all files.
  6. Other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of previous experience in an office environment preferred
  • Incumbent must be comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, PC use, 10–key and email.
  • Telephone experience is also preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • The incumbent should be knowledgeable in the use of a computer, typewriter, and calculator.
  • The incumbent should also possess strong time management skills, organizational skills, analytical abilities, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on site and have regular work attendance
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with other co-workers regardless of personality, presence or communication style
  • Must be able to provide cordial customer service regardless of customer personality, presence or communication style
  • Must be able to perform several tasks at once
  • Must be able to work in a stressful atmosphere
  • Must be able to rotate job tasks

  • Must be able to coordinate multiple and changing priorities

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear and sit. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The employee occasionally is required to reach with hands and arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color, and the ability to adjust focus.
