Details Position requires flexibility Monday through Friday 6:40 am to 7:15 pm and Saturday 7:30 am to 12:15 pm.

Description

 SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager, the incumbent is to provide superior banking services to customers in a professional manner. The majority (60%) of the incumbent’s time is spent providing customers and potential customers with a clear understanding of the features and benefits of products and services offered at the bank.  The incumbent will open all types of new accounts and handling other account related or deposit related requests.  Gaining knowledge of other areas in the bank and receiving cross-training to provide exceptional customer service is expected. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. 

  1. Open and close accounts for customers. Process documentation of accounts accurately by having in depth knowledge of products and services. 
  2. Contribute to the achievement of branch sales goals by aggressively selling products to new and existing customer by identifying problems, needs, and opportunities.
  3. Recognize selling opportunities and effectively cross-sell bank products and make referrals.  Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services. This includes possessing knowledge of competitors’ products, practices, facilities and prices in order to effectively sell Arvest products.
  4. Deliver consistent exceptional customer service by displaying sincere, outgoing, and aggressive friendliness.  Smiling, acknowledging every customer, introducing yourself, making eye contact, and thanking the customer are all examples.
  5. Acknowledge customer complaints and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. May back-up for the Teller line if successfully completed Teller School.  Handle customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.  Maintain and balance cash drawer following established guidelines.
  7. May take loan applications if successfully completed Fundamentals of Lending.

  1. Cross-sell other services of the bank.
  2. Support and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement.
  3. Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
  4. Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.
  5. Foster and promote the proper bank image at all times. 
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Completion of Deposit Counselor school within 90 days required
  • Completion of CFB2 Sales Training within 1 year required.
  • Cash handling, customer service, bank, or other financial service provider experience preferred.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on site and have regular work attendance
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with other co-workers regardless of personality, presence or communication style
  • Must be able to provide cordial customer service regardless of customer personality, presence or communication style
  • Must be able to perform several tasks at once
  • Must be able to work in a stressful atmosphere

  • Must be able to coordinate multiple and changing priorities

  • Must be able to move from department to department or bank to bank to attend meetings
  • Must be able to operate personal computer keyboard in order to create reports, schedules and other appropriate documentation
