Details Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.  
Preferred Qualifications Commercial Banking experience  

SUMMARY:  With limited direction incumbents analyze and project all types of credit and financial information for the most complex loans.  Incumbents frequently analyze complex credits in excess of $10 Million in aggregate debt.  Work with borrowers and loan officers in the preparation and presentation of loan proposal packets for the Loan Committee meetings.  Incumbents conduct financial analysis on borrowers to assess the ability to repay loans, monitor trends and conditions, and to determine and alert senior management as to potential problem situations which surface from analytical research.  In addition, incumbents monitor loan compliance by tracking technical exceptions and calculation of financial covenants.  May supervise Credit Analyst 1 and/or Credit Analyst 2.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Analyze and spread financial statements and related material.
  2. Determine the need for a more thorough research or additional information and work with the loan officers to obtain same information.
  3. Stay informed on respective industries represented within loan portfolios and trade area.
  4. Prepare summary reports, present facts, and offer recommendations concerning credit-worthiness and the ability of the customers to repay loans.  Jointly work with loan officers to prepare loan proposals for customer requests and credit memorandums.
  5. Work directly with customers and prospects during the credit review process in conjunction with the loan officer.
  6. Make recommendations to senior management regarding improvements to bank procedures and processes.
  7. Monitor loan compliance throughout the year through monitoring of technical exceptions and calculation of financial covenants.
  8. Prepare reports to forecast future expectations and to show how certain industries will perform to determine risk associated with the endeavor. 
  9. Review and report on concentration reports to senior management to help determine the focus for the coming year.
  10. Prepare Supervisory LTV report, Officer Stock Portfolio report, and Monthly Officer Analysis report.
  11. May supervise two (2) or more Credit Analyst 1 or Credit Analyst 2 associates.

  3. Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
  4. Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.
  5. Foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.


May directly supervises two or more fulltime equivalents.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates.  The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events.  The incumbent provides planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems; training associates.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience required.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years experience as a credit analyst required.
  • Arvest experience preferred.
