We are seeking an experienced i-Series Administrator. This is a technical hands-on position for a self-motivated administrator who will be an integral part of our team. This individual will be responsible for assuring proper operation of the Finance, HR, and Payroll Systems in JD Edwards running on System i. 

This is a permanent, full time employee opportunity located at our global corporate headquarters in Midtown Cleveland. Less than 10% travel will be required to our Disaster Recovery facility for testing as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • System i Administration
    • Disaster Recovery (BRMS)
    • Upgrades/Patches
    • Performance Analysis and Tuning
  • Oracle J.D. Edwards Administration
    • Job monitoring
    • Performance tuning
    • Upgrades/Patches
  • Level 2/3 Support
    • Ancillary system support
    • HP/UX + AIX + Linux secondary support. Training available.
    • Assist with troubleshooting when required
 
Position Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Demonstrated prior experience administrating System i
  • Experience with IBM Backup Recovery and Media Services (BRMS) and off-site tape management
  • Ability to provide occasional night and weekend support as needed
  • Ability to troubleshoot general end user issues
  • High school diploma or GED

Desired Qualifications:

  • HP/UX, AIX, and Linux experience
  • Oracle J.D. Edwards 9.1-9.3 administration experience

 Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
