Description

The Branch Manager directs and supervises the field and office staff within an assigned Agency branch office.  This position will coordinate patient services appropriate to the age of the patients serviced within the Agency and the community.  Additionally, the Branch Manager will assist the Chief Clinical Officer in meeting and exceeding standards for conditions of participation, minimum standards and Agency policy and procedures.  This position will also work closely with the HR Manager as it relates to the recruitment, hiring, orientation and ongoing training of the Office and field staff for that Branch. The Branch Manager works cooperatively with the Agency management team to assure quality patient care with fiscal responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, Local regulations, and JCAHO Home Care Standards.
  • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate patient care.
  • Ensure supervision of field staff is in accordance with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain an active quality management program.
  • Monitor billing process.
  • Ensure personnel supervision and Human Resources management.
  • Maintain working knowledge of FTE, field staff, and productivity.
  • Direct community education, outreach and public relations activities on and ongoing basis.
  • Review and makes recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of Company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Encourage ongoing development with the Branch staff.
  • Comply with HIPAA privacy regulations and maintains confidentiality at all times
  • Perform visits as dictated by the Agency’s needs

Position Requirements
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills to engage with staff/physicians and patients
  • Outstanding clinical skills and analytical capabilities
  • Proficient in coding
  • Able to lead and develop all staff members
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and JCAHO Home Care Standards
  • Performs under stress and exercise self control
  • Able to serve as a successful participant on the Agency management team that provides company leadership and direction
  • Valid drivers license and current auto liability insurance
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exercise sound and professional judgment at all times
  • Computer, internet access and email capabilities from home or other off-site location

 Education

  • Required, licensed RN in the states of LA or TX,  or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

 Training and Experience

  • Required, current CPR certification
  • Required, minimum of two years experience as an RN obtained within the last 36 months
  • Required, a minimum of one year of as a Director, Assistant Director, Branch Manager, Intake Coordinator, Case Manager or a Quality Improvement Coordinator within the past 12-24 months.
  • Required, a minimum of one year of home health field experience within the past 12-24 months.

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate activity. Requires bending and stooping, reaching above shoulder, standing and / or walking for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Speaking and hearing; able to comprehend normal speech
  • Works inside and outside, closely with others
  • May work irregular business hours
  • Generally works regular work hours, occasionally works after hours
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate
  • Some degree of travel (drive) to all Organizational locations (intensive driving at times)
