Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiter - Part Time (30 hours - Full Benefits)

Position Mission

Under general supervision, the Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiter is responsible for coordinating a variety of functions within the Human Resources department at WECC which results in obtaining and retaining a qualified, talented and satisfied work force. This position requires a high level of confidentiality and focus on customer service.

Primary & Essential Responsibilities

1. Recruiting and On-Boarding:
• Posts open positions internally and externally.
• Manages applicant tracking system and ensure that managers are responding to candidates on a timely basis.
• Participates in recruitment effort for non-manager positions, and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees.
• Conducts reference checks, administers pre-employment tests, and creates new employee orientation schedules.
• Creates offer letters and welcome packets.

2. Administrative Duties to include:
• Enter new employee information and status changes with existing employees as required using vendor tools.
• Track employee referral paperwork and provide to payroll when payment is due.
• Maintain employee files – electronic and paper.
• Maintain vendor files – i.e., staffing agencies or benefit providers.
• Assist with COBRA process.
• Assist HR Manager as requested.

3. Events Planning:
• Assist the HR Manager in the planning and development of WECC’s Employee Advisory Committee, Wellness Program, and Green Team.
• Research and organize community events for potential employee involvement (charity walks/runs).
• Coordinate annual wellness events (weight loss competition, cardio club, etc.).
• Coordinate health related brown bags, flu shot clinics, etc.
• Coordinate the planning of WECC events such as the holiday party, annual summer outing, or other brown bag lunches.

4. These responsibilities are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Position Requirements

1. Associates degree in Human Resources or junior level college student working on Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
2. Two years of administrative Human Resources work experience to include screening resumes and conducting telephone interviews for potential candidates.
3. Ability to balance multiple assignments/projects and meet assignment deadlines.
4. Excellent oral/written communication and listening skills.
5. Proficient in MS Office Suite or comparable software.
