vRide Inc. moves the world by providing innovative transportation services through local offices in over forty major metropolitan areas. The primary business of the local office is to provide and operate commuter vanpool programs throughout the state of Ohio. We are searching for a Customer Service Specialist for our Cincinnati, Ohio.

Do you have a desire to help preserve our environment, and work towards solving traffic and commuting congestion? Then this position is ideal for you! You will work with large employers and groups throughout the area to promote commuting alternatives, specifically commuter vanpooling.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operational activities to ensure customer satisfaction for our vanpool customers. This position also completes van deliveries and switches, helps to resolve customer invoicing and vendor management issues, arranges vehicle deliveries to customers, facilitates the organization of passenger groups, processes billing, assures customers meet maintenance schedules and works with vendors to resolve issues.

 

Position Requirements

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/knowledge and experience:

  • one to three years of client relationship experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • excellent communication skills
  • previous accounting/bookkeeping experience a plus
  • a valid driver's license and good driving record(we take safety seriously)
  • strong organizational skills

About the Organization Our company started in the mid-seventies, about the same time the word "vanpool" was first uttered. A couple of enterprising young men in Chrysler Corporation's Office of Public Responsibility launched the Chrysler Employee Vanpool Program as a way to conserve fuel and reduce vehicle emissions. The program was a success so Chrysler organized a subsidiary company and gave us the mission "…to provide innovative transportation services."



During our formative years we worked with transit agencies across the country and developed the foundation for what is commonly referred to as "third-party" vanpooling* - or vanpooling as we know it today in several regions across the country.



Since incorporating in 1977, we've grown and broadened the range of services that we provide. Today we operate commuter transportation and mobility management programs from over 40 Customer Service and/or Commuter Centers serving 50 major urban areas throughout the world!



In just over 32 years we've become the largest private provider of commuter vanpool transportation services in the world. We employ over 150 people; maintain a fleet of over 5,000 vans in top condition; and accommodate over 25 million passenger-trips annually in vRide-operated vehicles.
