VRide/VPSI moves the world by providing innovative transportation services through local offices in over forty major metropolitan areas. Our primary business is providing and operating commuter vanpool programs in the greater Houston area.

We are currently searching for an Account Coordinator in sales for our Houston, Texas office.

Do you have a desire to help preserve our environment, and work towards solving traffic and commuting congestion? Then this position is ideal for you! You will work with large employers throughout the area to promote commuter vanpooling.

Your efforts begin by usually contacting the HR or facilities management department at an employer with generally 200+ employees to educate them on how vanpooling can help their organization with parking issues, employee work/life balance, retention/ recruitment, corporate relocations or improving their environmental image. Once the employer is interested in offering vanpooling to their employees, then your marketing efforts change to creating and conducting various outreach events for their employee population such as:

  • Lunch & Learn sessions

  • Gathering employee data to ride-match groups together

  • Conducting table-top sessions with interested employees

  • Group formation meetings for groups ready to begin vanpooling

  • Educational Campaigns to increase public awareness on commuting alternatives

  • Transportation event co-sponsorships and government agency partnerships

  • Assisting customers to ensure that our current groups keep vanpooling

This position requires travel within the business territory which would include overnight stays when appropriate. Travel expenses are covered by the company.

Position Requirements

Ideal candidates possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination equivalent education plus experience
  • Sales/outreach experience
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Comprehensive Microsoft Office skills
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record(we take safety seriously)
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the work done as a member of a small team working towards an important goal
