Title: Port Terminal Manager
Reports to: VP of Operations
This position oversees and is responsible for the day to day operational, administrative, facility maintenance and security activities of the Delta Western Anchorage warehouse and bulk petroleum/methanol facilities.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Administrative- Manage full and part time staff activities, training, work hours, and assignments, with focus on safety, cost control and efficiency. Monitor employee performance, using appropriate motivation and problem resolution. Maintain and submit accounting records including inventory and reconciliation, payroll, sales and cash records. Address customer requirements or complaints timely and appropriately.
Operational- Maintain facility and equipment in compliance within regulatory and company standards through conducting regular inspections, requesting parts or repairs, or performing minor repairs, and grounds maintenance as needed. Identify and repair, personally or through outside services, electronic, mechanical, stationary, and rolling equipment. Oversee inventory control and quality control procedures and monitoring.
Sales/Marketing - Ensure that customer requirements are met and inventory for customer needs is coordinated with supply operations and the marketing VP. Coordinate operational considerations with sales department with respect to service quotations and customer concerns. Collect and disseminate customer, competitor and marketing information to the sales and marketing department.
Safety/Security- Ensure that all staff and visitors are properly trained, conduct all duties safely and within company policies and procedures, including the use of PPE. Conduct frequent safety inspections, hold daily safety meetings, and report any unsafe conditions. Immediately report any injuries, spills, or hazardous conditions to proper channels. Maintain facility security daily including securing and locking down all tank valves, yard gates, and verify hazardous substances are properly stored at closing. Comply with all safety policies, procedures and best practices. Comply with local, state, and federal environmental and regulatory actions.
