SBA Business Services Officer 


Allegacy Business Solutions is hiring a full time SBA Business Services Officer to focus upon managing business partnerships in an assigned market with the primary goal of developing our SBA loan market. They will deliver upon this goal while at the same time living out our mission, "To help our members make smart financial choices."  The SBA Business Services Officer will build relationships with our business partners to lead the coordination, set-up and delivery of SBA loans and Government lending programs for new and existing business partners. They will also collect financial and credit information, ascertain needs, solicit earning and risk information through financial and operating statements to ultimately extend credit within Allegacy policy and lending authority. In partnership with our SBA servicer they will keep appraised of all SBA changes and industry trends, subsequently acting as the point of contact for the SBA/Government lending department. Additionally, when developing the SBA market they will ensure our Synergy culture is supported by identifying additional needs of our business partners that can be supported through the offerings of JBA Benefits and/or Cooperative Payroll Solutions.

In order to succeed in this role the ideal candidate must be passionate about our local community and SBA lending. Therefore, the SBA Business Services Officer will represent Allegacy Business Solutions in the community by actively participating in civic affairs, and local professional organizations, to identify and develop new business partners.

Position Requirements


Education Required: 4 year college degree in Business or related area from an accredited college or university, or equivalent education and related training, such as: Commercial Bank Lending School (or similar program), Stonier or LSU graduate, Managing Interpersonal Relationships, and Leadership Management.

Experience Required: Minimum of five years commercial services experience which includes SBA lending.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding and comprehension of credit and finance, excellent negotiation skills and extensive knowledge of PC applications, to include excel and PowerPoint. Proven ability to create and work well in a teamwork environment. Excellent phone, oral, written and presentation skills. Must be able to travel as necessary, and project a positive and professional image of Allegacy Federal Credit Union.
